Lavender (H3) flowers, VIII–IX; downy, grey foliage, deepening in winter to purple-grey; neat, vigorous, upright habit with few side-shoots; height 31–45cm; spread 46–60cm.
Found by J. W. Sparkes (Beechwood Nursery, Beoley, Redditch, Worcestershire, England); introduced either by J. W. Sparkes or J. F. Letts about 1966.
So named “because it stands straight up like a knight in armour”.
