Pink (H8) flowers deepening through rose-pink (H7) to heliotrope (H12), IāV; dark green foliage with shades of bronze; vigorous spreading habit; height 10ā15cm; spread 46ā60cm. Outstanding.
Possible seedling of Erica carnea ‘Vivellii’; found by G. Hayes (Grasmere, Cumbria, England), and introduced by Robert Hayes by 1948; available from Maxwell & Beale (Broadstone, Dorset) in 1946.
Named after one of the Lake District’s fells, between Grasmere and Ambleside.
