Selected from seedlings of ‘Myretoun Ruby‘ crossed with ‘Springwood White‘; raised by John Hall in 1986 at Windlesham Court Nurseries (Windlesham, Surrey, England); selected by Hall, and introduced after 1991.
Name alluding to the flower colour.
